The GOLDEN Introductory Set for Professional Acrylic Gel Mediums and Molding Pastes offers the opportunity to experiment with a representative sampling of Gel Mediums. Gel Mediums used alone, or blended with acrylic colors can add texture, broaden the working properties and expand the possibilities.
GOLDEN Acrylic Flow Release is an additive used to reduce surface tension of the water in the acrylic emulsion, therefore increasing the slickness and flow of the paint. It is effective for achieving rich stains on a porous surface.
• Health Labeled (HL) Product
• Not for use by children.
Acrylic Glazing Liquid can be used to create safe, water-based glazes that produce oil-like finishes, or as an acrylic paint extender and medium. Both Gloss and Satin formulas provide enough working time for even the most challenging effects and finishes.
- Sizes: 8 oz, 16 oz, and 32 oz
Designed for modifying the GOLDEN Fluid Acrylics for airbrush/spray application. Blends with minimal effort with the Fluid Acrylics to yield a paint mixture with the proper viscosity for airbrushing. Effectively decreases clogging and tip buildup during spraying, eliminating the largest drawback to airbrushing with acrylics. While designed with the Fluid Acrylics in mind, Airbrush Medium will also reduce the Heavy Body, Matte, High Load, Iridescent/Interference and Fluorescent Acrylics for spray applications. GOLDEN Mediums and Gessos can also be blended with Airbrush Medium for spraying.
GOLDEN Airbrush Transparent Extender is a 100% acrylic binder system that is designed to modify GOLDEN Airbrush Colors for increased transparency and film hardness. Engineered to meet the highest standards of professional airbrush illustrators, Airbrush Transparent Extender possesses excellent spraying properties and is formulated to minimize tip build-up, clogging and surface defects.
Designed to yield a pully, tar-like feel, but in a colorless gel. This gel has an extremely resinous and stringy consistency, which makes it feel very different than other acrylics. Useful for generating fine detailed lines by "dripping" it over surfaces, as it continuously flows from palette knives or other tools. Blends with all GOLDEN Acrylic colors (though Fluids work best) to offer a full range of colors with which to work.
GOLDEN Historical Colors are authentic recreations of paint colors that have been in use for hundreds of years and were considered essential to the working palettes of past masters. As the pigments originally used to produce these colors were found to be unsafe or vulnerable to the effects of light and weather, they had not been offered in a GOLDEN line of pure pigment colors. Recognizing the popularity of these colors within some palettes,
GOLDEN has recreated these in a safe, reliable form, meeting the conservation requirements of fine artists. Great pains were taken to ensure the GOLDEN Historical Colors shared the working properties of their predecessors.
GOLDEN Fluid Interference Acrylic colors offer a unique "interference flip." When viewed from different perspectives, Interference colors flip between a bright opalescent color and its complement. When applied over white or lighter surfaces, the Interference color is less obvious and the "flip" effect is more obvious. When applied over black or darker surfaces, the Interference color is more obvious and the "flip" effect is less obvious. The Color Travel (C.T.) Interference colors offer not just one "flip", but multiple tones between two points on a spectrum. Interference Acrylic colors offer artists a range of reflective properties and interplay with light. Interference colors are relatively transparent, allowing artists the ability to glaze with unique effects. Enhance landscapes with Interference Blue or Interference Green. Add life to wildlife artwork with Interference Red or Interference Violet. Combine Interference colors with small amounts of color to achieve unique color ranges. Add gels for impasto effects or thin with mediums for glazing applications. Add a very small amount of black to Interference colors to produce deeper, richer, opalescent effects.
GOLDEN Iridescent Acrylics are one of the most unique products available to artists today. They offer highly reflective metallic variations when mixed with GOLDEN colors. The GOLDEN Iridescent colors achieve their reflective properties by synthetically reproducing several natural phenomena - the nacreous, or pearlescent, qualities found in fish scales or the dust of a butterfly's wing, and the shiny and reflective qualities found in certain metals and minerals.
"Coarse" Iridescent colors are simply larger particle size versions of our,
"Fine" Iridescent products. Coarse colors in the Iridescent line include Copper, Copper Light, Gold, and Pearl.
