This July Liquitex launched a new line of seven Cadmium Free colors in the Heavy Body acrylic range. If you are interested in health, safety, and color theory this demo is for you. In this demonstration Pamela will be discussing the proper use of materials and introducing this new innovation in color. Unlike hues which will be replaced in the Liquitex Heavy Body range the Cadmium Free colors perform just like true cadmiums without the use of heavy metals allowing them to carry the AP (approved Product) symbol from the Arts and Creative Materials Institute.
Watercolor is the perfect medium for making art in a variety of environments in this cold winter weather! In this demonstration attendees will be introduced to inspiring texture techniques, alternative approaches to watercolor, color mixing, pigment characteristics, insights into various brushes and papers as well as an introduction to the new premium Winsor & Newton Professional and Classic Watercolour Paper! Winsor & Newton is built on art and science, collaborating with artists and institutions around the world to promote fine art and encourage emerging talent. This demo is all about getting people excited about the endless possibilities of watercolour paint and paper so they can go right into the studio with tons of new ideas.
Winsor & Newton married art and science when the chemist, William Winsor, and artist, Henry Newton, created Winsor & Newton in 1832. In this demonstration attendees will be introduced to the history of paint, pigment characteristics, permanence, a wide variety of techniques such as paper marbling and spatula painting, and all sorts of other cool stuff to expand your knowledge of materials!
