Caran d'Ache NEOCOLOR II is a professional-quality water-soluble wax oil pastel designed for both wet and dry drawing techniques. This metal box contains 10 assorted colors with a soft, velvety texture that delivers strong covering power without producing the dust associated with traditional dry pastels. NEOCOLOR II can be applied dry like a wax pastel or activated with water to create watercolor-style washes, glazing, ink-wash effects, blending, and other mixed-media techniques. Caran d'Ache recommends the pastels for a broad range of surfaces, including paper, cardboard, glass, wood, leather, fabric, and stone. Each pastel measures approximately 8.65 mm in diameter and features highly concentrated, bright pigments with excellent lightfastness.
